5 a.m.

Zoe decided to get up at 4 am, so Mom went downstairs with her to allow Dad to "sleep in" until 5 am, when he had to get up for Grand Rounds.

Once Mom was good and awake, Zoe decided to go back to sleep.

Dad made hot chocolate for Mom before he left. That was nice.
